The Natural Area & Landscaping Committee is interested in placing benches throughout the neighborhood. he hope is to improve quality of life in Maple Hill by providing a place to rest when you are out for a walk, wait for your kids or grandkids to come home from school or leave the pool, enjoy the sunset, visit with a friend, or just sit for awhile.

Possible locations for these benches include:

1. Overlooking the natural area

2. Near the pool entrance

3. Near the school bus stops

4. The southeast corner of Maple Hill where there is a nice view of the mountains and the sunset.

Due to the tight HOA budget and the goal of not raising dues, the Committee is looking for Maple Hill homeowners and residents willing to donate to the purchase and installation of these benches. The benches we have in mind now are similar to this one.  

This is a preliminary outreach to see (a) how many people are interested, and (b) how much we might be able to raise.  A rough estimate to purchase and install a bench is $1,200 each.

Select an area of Maple Hill that you would like to dedicate 10-15 mins per week picking up trash. (The area can be as large or as small as you want, could be on a path that you normally walk, and can include common areas). Adopting even a small area helps build neighborhood pride.

Let us know which area you are adopting! We'd like to get a friendly competition (for prizes!) if we can get enough people to volunteer.

If you haven't heard, Compost Queen launched a pilot program with the City of Fort Collins!

It brings down the cost of curbside service to $10/month and drop off access to $5/month.
